FIFA Animal Video

The Front Production Company was involved in the initial conceptualization and shoot of this video. The premise was to have various species of animals play a game of football somewhere in the Serengeti.

The footage of the animals consisted of live action plates that were shot, as well as, stock footage. The offline edit was provided to MOI, where the rest of the post production was to be completed.

15 Days of 3D animation was required to create the football that the animals were kicking around. Some of the tracking was achieved in the 3D environment, however, most was done in Flame by our resident operator, Marios Nicolettis, over a period of 8 days.

Not only was the football required to be composited, but some of the animals were integrated into the scenes.

The composited footage required sky replacements, animal enhancements and an overall grade to achieve the final look that was seen at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Draw.
